About the book
Insurgent Feminisms: Writing War (Daraja Press, 2024, edited by Bhakti Shringarpure and Veruska Cantelli) advances a new paradigm of war writing by focusing on gender. These feminist and queer perspectives on war come out of regions and positions that disobey the rules of war writing. The book includes reportage, fiction, memoir, poetry, and conversations from 60 writers and covers over 20 regions, primarily from the Global South.
